I believe we have an obligation to look out for each other. And despite what Republicans in the legislature would have you believe, we’re in this together. Yes, it’s true; we all go home to our separate homes at night. But those homes are in neighborhoods –where we share streets, sidewalks, schools. What happens to my neighbor affects me. There is an “us” in our neighborhoods. Not just a ‘you’ and a ‘me.’
My district has made progress. It’s time for Tennessee to do better.
